The GPT-5 Rollout Was a Mess. Did OpenAI Lose Our Trust for Good?

Well, that was something.
For what felt like an eternity, the tech world was buzzing with whispers about GPT-5. The hype was REAL. The GPT-5 paradox is that the underlying technology is likely a genuine step forward, but the launch was such a disaster that it may have inflicted lasting damage to OpenAI's reputation as the leader in the field.
